We offer support to families in need, or who might be struggling with day to day life. We take time to talk over issues including health and well being, advocacy, domestic violence or early childhood education and development.
We can assist with referrals to additional specialist support services if needed.
Please contact Judy Robinson for further information, using the 'Contact Us' button to the right.
Food to share
Thanks to Fresh Choice Richmond, the Fresh As Bakery in Tahunanui, and the Nelson Environment Centre Food Rescue Programme, we have food to share every week for those in need. Pop in Monday/Wednesday afternoons, or Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We always welcome volunteers to collect goods for us, so let us know if you can help.
Do you need some one to hear you? Come to Tahunanui counselling services and share the load!
Couselling is a practice that allows people to discuss life challenges, worries and emotional distress. In counselling you can feel heard, supported and gain insight.
It is a process that can help to think and feel emotions with more clarity. Tahunanui Community centre is providing free counselling for anyone that would like to have a confidential talk with our counsellor.
We are offering up to 10 sessions with senior NMIT counselling students
